Tuesday's Assignment

In business, you want to make sure your customers feel like they got a good deal.  There are different ways to say that you want maximum profit for minimum investment, to get the most out of something, to get the best value for money. Can you figure out another way of saying this?


Here are your tasks:
  1. If you're not returning in September, be sure to write your testimonial here first.
  2. Pick any 3 exercises to do with a partner. As the site seems blocked on your computers, check out the content below.
  3. CLB6W Write a comparison of a company’s services with those of a leading competitor.
    1. Read the first page of this review and identify comparison phrases, e.g. “more Scotiabanks,” “better interest rate.”
    2. Give a name to your imaginary online banking service, and write an advertisement of 5 sentences using the comparison phrases.

    1. The name of your imaginary bank sounds familiar.
    2. Are you comparing the imaginary bank against PC Financial or Tangerine?
    3. You need to write 5 *sentences*--each sentence should have a Subject, a Verb, and Complete Meaning.
